Hughes Easels come with assembly instructions and a DVD but often times these get lost or mislaid. So to make life a bit easier we have posted two videos which cover the assembly process.
Canvas Clips.
Each of our easels includes one of these per mast mast. Quite adequate for most situations.
One face has a padded lip and the other gator teeth. You get to decide how you prefer to hold your canvas by simply flipping the clip. We've added bigger knobs and each mast has safety pins which prevent the clips from sliding off when making adjustments.
For many two clips is enough. However if you'd like to handle multiple canvases at one time having several of these opens up a world of possibilities. With a dual mast system and four clips one can stack multiple paintings of different sizes quite easily.
You can be adding the finishing touches to your pleinair study at the same time working on your final studio rendition. All on one easel at the same time. That's handy.

Safety pins prevent damage to clips, fingers and toes! Use them.
If you have an older model that doesn't employ these you might consider having some one who is very handy to drill your masts and cut some brass rod to fit.
It's really worth doing!
